Tuck had given it some thought, clearly.
"Mommy, when I grow up and I'm a daddy, I think I'll marry you. Because you don't have one."
"Well, that's very thoughtful, kiddo. But you should marry someone just for you. Like maybe Isabelle."
(Isabelle is his ooh-la-la favorite girl in Sunday School. She's a darling little firecracker in pink cowboy boots. I've been told they snuggle in the book corner and he plays with her hair during story time.)
(Robb had a special place in his heart for Isabelle, too. He loved that little girl.)
"Isabelle? I could marry her."
"You sure could."
"You'll be okay, Mommy?"
"Yes, Tuck. I'll be okay."
"You're sure?"
"I'm sure."

How sweet! I hope that even for just a brief moment you were able to smile at your sweet boy's thoughts and intentions. Still praying for you daily.
What a thoughtful boy! He is thinking hard about how this is going to work, isn't he?
Love and prayers.
He is such a sweet boy, wanting to look out for you. I think it is good that you assure him that you will be fine (even though it might not always feel like it right now).

when i had a sunday school of three and four year olds, one of the little girls told philip. "i am going to marry you when i grow up!"

Oh bless his sweet little heart! My heart has literally melted into a puddle at my feet. What a wonderful and caring little boy you have! You should be so proud!

Tricia, I woke up in the middle of the night and was called to pray for you and the boys. I met Craig and Carolyn when they were serving in Colorado Springs and love and respect them so. My husband left Thursday for Afghanistan, so please know as I am on my knees for him, I'll be praying for you as well. Marti Bailey
Such a tender heart and so sensitive! What a blessing to have a tangible piece of Robb to give you comfort these days!
With love, and prayers,
Connie
This is so sweet. You know they say "out of the mouths of babes" Robb was terrific role model for your boys. Michelle Snyder-Drummond
