"Actually, I don't have a husband anymore. But when Daddy was alive, he was my husband."

But on a questionnaire, 'Are you married or single?' I'm single. He was my husband.
"Do you think Poppa could be your husband, Mommy?"
"No, he's my dad."
"Do you think I could be your husband?"
"No, kiddo. It just doesn't work that way."
It's okay, buddy. Not every mommy has one.
