"Merry Christmas."

I always loved to say, "Merry Christmas."

To anyone who crossed my path, I wished them this greeting or farewell.  They really are beautiful words, melodic every time.

I heard someone say it yesterday, in thanks for his red Starbucks cup.

I thought, 'I'm not saying those words this year.'

Something in me felt entitled to stop saying it, to scratch those words from my vocabulary.

It's perhaps the same root of entitlement that led me to stop talking to God for most of the month of January.

Then and now, I gently realized I was only robbing myself.

So, I said it today.  "Thank you, and Merry Christmas."

I've been robbed of enough.  No sense in being my own thief.

Merry Christmas to you.

That's right Trisha. Well said. I am praying for you this Christmas..wishing you knew how very much I think of you and how much I have ached for you. While nothing can possibly "make it better", I'm going to pray that God wraps His loving arms around you this Christmas in a way you've never felt before. Much love! Shanna

You know what I love about you? (...well, a LOT of things, but today...) I love how every time you learn something profound, you turn around and teach me. You are my FAVORITE author, but I'll always think of you as a teacher first.

Y'know, that makes a whole lot of sense for a whole lot of people going through a whole lot of different things. You're a wise woman.

And Merry Christmas to you too. :-)
