My friend Melissa had her baby yesterday... a little boy: Truitt Joshua. Ten days overdue, and well worth the wait. She invited me to the hospital room, when he was just four hours old. Oh, that sweet baby. I could write pages and pages about the experience of watching my lifetime friend as a brand new mom... but a blog is not the place for such writing.
It is no small thing to be in such sacred space, in the presence of such a brand new family. If you ever get such an honored invitation, don't pass it up.
